This season, Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad took us on a galactic journey with the new winter couture collection entitled “Star Catcher”. With each silhouette that graced the runway, constellations of embroidery, refinement and color made up the aesthetic of a phenomenal show.
Stars hug waistlines, they’re incorporated into beautiful design elements and add the elegance that Murad always portrays in his work. Jumpsuits and bodysuits are full of stellar superpower and tell the story of several zodiacs.
Beginning with darker shades, Murad creates a sensual, cosmic atmosphere with a blazer featuring a daring neckline, sheer pants and heavy embroidery that shines with a charisma. He then crosses into a fiery side with shades of red found in looks such as a floor-length ball gown with a sheer top. Toning down while maintaining interest, shades of green and blue create the twilight of the collection. A racerback floor-length navy ballgown shines like the moon. At the end, we find the collection taking a romantic turning point with the vision of an illustrious wedding gown. The stars have aligned for this bride and she’s got couture to prove it.
