What Goes Under The Gown: Bridal Lingerie Tips

For most brides the wedding day is all about the dress, but what about what lies beneath?  We all know it’s an absolute must for the bride to look stunning from head to toe on their wedding day, however the bridal lingerie she wears underneath plays an important role to the wedding day look as well.  What you wear underneath your dress makes or breaks how your wedding gown looks, falls and fits for the duration of the day.  Here’s a few tips to ensure you’re looking your best:

 1. Yes you will be the center of attention the entire day, it’s still intended for you and your love.  So, opt for lingerie that reflects your own personal style and taste.  Make sure you are comfortable in whatever you choose, remember you’ll be wearing it all day.

 2. Don’t be shy to try on the lingerie with your wedding dress before the actual big day.  It wouldn’t be pretty to find out the day of the wedding your lingerie is not a good fit with your wedding gown.

3. It’s also good to ask your bridal consultant about what type of lingerie works well with your style gown.  Don’t forget to pay attention to the structure of the gown; look whether it has boning or built-in cups.  The dress may have an unusual cut or transparent material.  Those are important details you will need to consider when selecting your bridal lingerie.

4. It’s also good to purchase two lingerie outfits: one for your dress, which works with shaping your figure under the fabric so you look great and feel fabulous all day long and then something pretty fresh to slip into for your wedding night.
