EDITORIAL INTERN

We are looking for a editorial intern to assist with the production of our online publication and website part-time.  This is an unpaid position with lots of opportunity to gain a wealth of experience and connection. Your name will be included in the bi-annual publication.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Pitching story ideas, conducting interviews & research
  • Writing and fact-checking editorial content for the magazine, writing blog posts and updating web content as needed
  • Fact-checking print & online resource guides
  • Attend photo shoots and assist on location with styling, setting up and breakdown.

Much of the work will be completed remotely.  Must have an interest in writing, editing, print and online journalism, or publishing and marketing.


ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual who is eager to learn about the wedding & fashion industry and the process of creating an online magazine publication.  This position is a part-time, commission only with lots of opportunity to gain wealth of experience and connection.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Place sales calls
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Prospecting for new accounts
  • Attend bridal shows
  • Close sales over the phone or in person
  • Prepare advertise agreements Customer support – follow up and maintain accounts
  • Make sure media kit is updated with current stats

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must have top notch customer service skills and a desire to exceed expectations
  • Must have ability to meet and exceed one’s own goals
  • Must have positive attitude and be open to constructive criticism
  • Regular communication is A MUST
  • Prior sales/account management experience is not a requirement but helpful
  • Must be a fast learner and work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be professional in all communications with potential and current clients

HOURS:

Flexible – approx. 10-15 hours a week.  This is a work from home position with occasional staff meetings and face to face meetings with clients.
