Expanding Our Team – Fall/Winter Editorial Interns Wanted

Calling all fashion, social media, and lovers of weddings – we are currently accepting applications for our fall/winter 2017 internship!  We will be covering all aspects of bridal fashion + beauty from designers to editorial shoots, along with social media, advertising, and real time blogging.

Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft products , Google Mail and Calendar, Photoshop, HTML and Mail Chimp.  WordPress knowledge is a bonus, and social media expertise is expected. Duties will include everything from photo research to building stories to sharpening your editorial skills — all while experiencing what it’s like to work for a fast-paced (and pretty awesome) wedding media outlet.

  • Provide compelling, cohesive, and an on-brand voice to future social campaigns and our editorial calendar.
  • Update database, create media pitches for upcoming projects, track social mentions and industry related research.
  • Display writing abilities and verbal communication skills that engage our audience.
  • Possess a positive attitude, keen attention to detail, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Have a deep appreciation and knowledge of fashion and trends {both past and present}.
  • Be creative and have a unique sense of personal style.
  • Love to play dress up in bridal gowns.
  • Have reliable transportation and knowledge of the MD/DC metropolitan area.
  • Must be professional, assertive, and confident.

What We Require:

  • Candidates must possess their own laptop.
  • Highly organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
  • Love for using social networking sites, and general excitement to learn new skills.

Intern will work remotely, but should be available to participate in weekly style chats and meetings.  The ideal interns will assist and attend special events located in MD/DC and New York.

College Candidates:  We will complete any paperwork necessary for college students seeking college credit.  The internship is unpaid but could lead to future paid opportunities.
